UNILUS Teaching Hospital is a modern and HPCZ accredited teaching hospital affiliated to the University of Lusaka. UNILUS Teaching Hospital is inviting applications from suitably qualified Zambians to fill the following positions under the Clinical Engineering and Laboratory Services.
To install, maintain, calibrate and manage all biomedical equipment in the teaching hospital, simulation
labs, and medical laboratories to ensure patient safety and HPCZ compliance.
· Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedule for all hospital equipment
· Install, calibrate, repair and test biomedical equipment
· Train doctors, nurses and students on proper use of equipment
· Maintain equipment inventory and service history database
· Advise procurement on specifications for new equipment
· Ensure compliance with HPCZ, ZAMRA and Radiation Protection Authority standards
· Supervise Biomedical Technologists
· Grade 12 School Certificate with 5 O'Levels including English and Mathematics
· Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering / Clinical Engineering / Medical Equipment Technology from a recognized university
· Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering will be an added advantage
· Must be registered with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ)
· Minimum 3-5 years work experience in a hospital, teaching hospital, or medical equipment supply company
· Experience with imaging equipment (X-ray, Ultrasound, CT), theatre equipment (anaesthesia machines, monitors), laboratory analyzers, and sterilization equipment
· Key Skills: Strong troubleshooting, electrical safety testing, ability to read service manuals, computer literate.
