To support daily operation, maintenance, and calibration of teaching hospital equipment and medical laboratory teaching equipment.
UNILUS Teaching Hospital is a modern and HPCZ accredited teaching hospital affiliated to the University of Lusaka. UNILUS Teaching Hospital is inviting applications from suitably qualified Zambians to fill the following positions under the Clinical Engineering and Laboratory Services.
· Daily inspection and minor repairs of lab and hospital equipment
· Perform calibration of lab equipment as per manufacturer SOPs
· Maintain stock of spare parts and reagents for equipment
· Keep maintenance logs and fault reports
· Assist Biomedical Engineer in installation and training
· Ensure infection control and safety in equipment handling
· Grade 12 School Certificate
· Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Biomedical Technology / Biomedical Equipment Technology / Clinical Technology from Evelyn Hone College, UTH, or recognized institution
· Degree in Biomedical Technology will be an added advantage
· Must be registered with Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) where applicable
· Minimum 2-3 years hands-on experience in a hospital, clinic, diagnostic lab, or lab equipment company
· Must have proven experience with: Hematology analyzers, Chemistry analyzers, Micropipettes, Centrifuges, Autoclaves, Microscopes, Patient monitors
